How long should I charge my wheelchair battery?
Aquatec Fortuna Bath Lift Wheelchairs use Sealed Lead Acid batteries (SLA). SLA batteries do not charge quickly. Typical charge time is 8-16 hours. If you depend on your Aquatec Fortuna Bath Lift wheelchair to be fully operational at all times, we recommend that you invest in two batteries and one of our Battery Tender chargers so you will always have a spare.What can I do to lengthen my wheelchair battery life?
You should try to never let your Aquatec Fortuna Bath Lift wheelchair battery fully discharge. A full discharge causes extra strain and each cycle robs the battery of a small amount of its capacity. It is also important to remember that you should never leave your Aquatec Fortuna Bath Lift wheelchair battery discharged for a significant length of time. This causes sulfation, which makes it very difficult if not impossible to recharge.
