• Shelf Life: A new SLA battery pack has a shelf life of two (2) years stored at proper temperatures. Shelf life is defined as the length of time a battery can be stored, prior to installation into AED, without degrading its performance. Proper storage temperature is between 0°C to +35°C (32°F to +95°F).
• Recommended Replace Interval: Two (2) years or 200 charge/discharge cycles, depending on use.
• Expected Capacity: A new SLA battery pack can provide 3 hours of ON time or 43-59 discharges during 3 months of use without recharging. Turning the AED on uses up battery capacity. Each month battery capacity decreases while the battery is in the AED from Self Tests and normal self discharge. • Proper Maintenance: Recharge after each use or once per month. Maintain a Battery Recharge record. Charging time is about 10 hours.
