Going on Vacation? Don't Be Left Without Power

You are supposed to have fun when you're out on vacation. It's your time to let go of all the stress you experience while living at home, at work, or at school. No matter where you're going, failing to properly prepare for your stay could very likely turn your vacation into a bad one. They say that you never realize what you have until it's gone; so know how much we actually rely on electricity and how important it will be on your vacation.
Think of all the electronics you will bring along with you:
Laptops
,
cell phones
,
camcorders
,
digital cameras
, and
mp3 players
are all staples. All these devices will need to be powered, and it's never an easy task when you spend most of your days on the move.
Before you leave, make sure all your batteries are working properly. If you haven't used your camcorder in ages, the battery might have lost its charge over time. You can use our
battery finder tool
to locate your camcorder's battery incase you need a replacement. Consider purchasing an extended battery since you will be away from a power outlet most of the day. (We offer extended batteries for laptops as well). Also, remember that not every country out there uses the same outlets we do, so bring an
outlet converter
with you.
Don't count on your laptop, cell phone and mp3 player to last all day either. You'll most likely be on your toes everyday to keep yourself from using them too much. Since it would be highly impractical and expensive to bring along multiple batteries for each device, consider a
universal external battery
to power all your devices. We currently offer the
Amstron
PP33/PP17 which have a miniUSB output tip. These portable external batteries also come with the following tips: miniUSB tip, Samsung tip, iPod tip, LG tip, Palm Treo Tip, Sony PSP tip, as well as a retractable USB cable and an AC jack.
Finally, avoid bringing a large pack of regular alkaline batteries. They are really heavy and might take up too much room. Instead, bring a set of
rechargeable NiMH batteries
and the
charger
. These rechargeable batteries actually last longer than alkaline batteries anyways.
We want you to preserve all the good memories and enjoy your vacation to its fullest potential. Pass this on to your family and friends who will be traveling soon.
