It’s a well known social fact that the bartenders are the ones to keep the night scene going. Not only are they surrounded by beautiful people enjoying their cocktails, but they provide the liquid fuel that charges up a party’s stamina- helping everyone enjoy themselves for hours.
A club hopping diva loves nothing better than when she tells the bartender to whip her up a drink, and BAM!... there it is- tasty & packed with lots of punch! On the other hand, the biggest party foul is to toss out a name of a drink and have the bartender look at you like he’s clueless. The bar tender is the key to a good times LONG time.

So what is the secret to keeping the party going??

Energy drinks have given the night scene a whole new “extended battery”. With the constant desire to live it up and make it last, those looking to recharge their inner battery have turned to energy drink cocktails for that extra dose of power. Since the introduction of your favorite vodka mixed with that crimson bull (you know- the one in the silver & blue can); concoctions of the energy drink based cocktails have gotten more diverse. A new breed of high powered cocktails have recently dominated the party scene and started its invasion of the mainstream.

In the true spirit of a once avid party go’er, I have included a few recipes to some of my favorite fusions. All of these tried & true recipes were introduces or recommended to me by my favorite bartender, my brother Joe (who by the way is always surrounded by hordes of sexy women looking to get that perfect blend of energy & spirits!). With these recipes at your fingertips you can amaze your friends with your knowledge of delicious recharging cocktails, or produce your own circle of foxy ladies!


Crunk Juice
(can be made for the masses!)
3 Parts Crunk Energy Drink
1 part SKYY®
1 part Raw Dog®
2 parts grapefruit juice
Pour all ingredients into a pitcher,
Stir slightly and serve over ice
*** Best served in a Pimp Cup***
Fight or Flight
1/2 Can Red Bull
1 1/2 oz. 151 proof Rum
1/2 oz. Captain Morgan's Rum
Fill glass w/ice & pour in liquour. Top w/energy drink.
The Lemon Drop Fusion
2oz. Ketel One® Citroen Vodka
1oz. Triple Sec®
3 splashes lemon juice
1/2 oz. Red Bull®
21/2oz. lemonade with pulp
1oz. orange juice with pulp
Shake ingredients in cocktail shaker with ice.
Strain into a glass. Garnish w/ lemon slices.
Battering Ram
1 Splash Lime Juice
2 oz. Vodka
2 oz Tequila
Monster Energy Drink
Mix alcohols in highball glass, add ice
and dash of lime. Sti, top off w/Energy Drink
Blue Eyes
4 oz. Vodka
2 oz. Blue Curacao
1 Part Cocaine Energy Drink
1 Part Sweet & Sour
Fill glass w/ice./ Pour alcohols
& Energy drink. Add Curacao
Brass Monkey
2 Parts lighter Draught Beer
1 Shot Vodka
1 Part Red Bull
Fill glass 2/3 with Beer
Top off with Red Bull
Pour Shot in glass
Bengali Tiger
1 oz. Monster Energy Drink (Orange)
1 oz Campari & Gin each
1/2 oz Grenadine
1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
Blend all but Grenadine. Pour over ice.
Add Grenadine, garnish w/orange
Green Spade
8oz can Red Bull® energy drink
6oz. UV® blue raspberry vodka
4oz. chilled lemonade
Stir & Serve w/lemon garnish
Cherry Bomb Extreme
2oz. Jagermeister®
4oz. Blue Ox(Black Cherry)
1 tbsp grenadine syrup
Garnish w/a cherry, Stir & Serve
Darth Vader
1/2 oz. Vodka, Gin, Tequila,
Light Rum ,Jagermiester each
1/2 oz. Rockstar Energy Drink
Pour all in mixer glass w/ice
Shake& strain into a Collins glass
Bacardi Bull
1/2 Part Bacardi Limon
1/2 Part Red Bull Energy Drink
Fill collins glass w/ice and pour equal
parts. Garnish w/Lime

The Starburst
1 Part Citrus Vodka
1 Part Mandarin Vodka
1 Part Energy Drink & O.J.
1 Part Orange Juice
Life is Good
1oz. Stoli® Raspberry vodka
5oz. Sprite® soda
1 splash cranberry juice
1 splash Red Bull® energy drink
Garnish with lime
Stinger Bomb
1 oz. Skorppio Vodka
Fill glass w/Stinger Energy Drink
Garnish w/edible Scorpion from
theVodka bottle


Now, the responsible adult in me must warn you… studies have shown that the combination of high rev energy drinks and alcohol are not necessarily best for the old ticker. And of course, there is always the reminder not to drink and drive. Since some of these tempting drinks are not so easy to turn from, here are a few tips on how to keep your good time from going sour:
  • Hydrate yourself regularly-
  • Drink water before you go out and in between drinks. Make sure to drink lots more once your night on the town is over. Hydrating your self regularly helps prevent that regrettable hang over!
  • Eat before indulging-
  • Enjoy a meal! Carbohydrates and fats slow down your bloodstreams absorption of alcohol. Sugary foods help, also, since alcohol breaks down the sugar in your liver.
  • Moderate Yourself- Umm, maybe this isn’t the easiest one, but it works!
  • If you can’t do any of the above- the failsafe is to have a designated driver, and yes, a cab counts!

Just remember the key to living a full life is fully living it. Enjoy good times, and drink responsibly!
