Recall: Fujitsu Issues Recall for Laptop Batteries
In what is now the second recall to take place within the past week, the P.C. manufacturer Fujitsu has voluntarily issued a recall of batteries from its Amilo P range of notebooks.
Citing ‘a limited number of customer reports about overheating batteries and an associated fire risk’, Fujitsu has gone ahead and set up a free battery exchange program for selected AMILO notebook models sold between April 2007 and June 2009. The batteries in question are lithium-ion and will be immediately replaced by the company. Fujitsu stressed that no other laptops are affected by the battery recall.
