As is the case with snowflakes, no two iPhone users are exactly the same. Take for example ”that guy”…the one who has anxiety attacks if he’s not constantly connected to the rest of the world. On the flip side, there are those who only spend several minutes a day on their iPhone, preferring to actually leave the office when they leave the office.

Jeff McMorris, president of TapMode, took the above into consideration while also setting out to solve a problem in his own life when he came up with the idea for Battery Gauge. “I needed an app that would give me an idea of the actual time I had remaining on my battery, that would look at how I used my phone and then base its estimate on that usage pattern,” says McMorris.

Battery Gauge is an intelligent application. By calculating your usage through just one battery charge, this app learns your patterns and can predict how long and how much charge you need for each task you typically perform on your iPhone.

Out of the multitude of iPhone battery apps released for getting the most out of a less than stellar battery, Battery Gauge is the first intuitive iPhone and iPod Touch app to work with your battery charge. As it learns your patterns and notes which tasks you perform and how long they take, you’ll always know whether or not you have enough battery life to complete activities.

Battery Gauge 1.0 is being released for just $0.99 and can be found in the iTunes App Store in the Utilities category.
