Samsung Announces New NC310 With 11 Hour Battery-Life
Samsung just announced a new addition to it’s family, as the NC310 is set for global release sometime in the months ahead (So far releases have been slated for Germany in April and the U.K. in May, nothing official yet for the U.S.). The new mini-notebook comes in 4 fairly interesting colors on the outside (black, a salmon reddish color, purple, and a light greenish-blue color), as well as the following specs on the inside:
-Intel Atom CPU (no word on the actual model, though)
-10.1-inch LCD (assuming the resolution will be 1024×600)
-Weighs 2.72 pounds with standard battery
-Five hours of battery life, standard, or up to 11 hours with extended battery
-Wi-Fi included, Bluetooth, optional 3G chipset
-160GB hard drive, 1GB RAM
-Three USB ports, 3-in-1 card reader, 1.3-megapixel webcam
If the NC310 lives up to the hype of an 11 hour battery performance, that would definitely be on the higher side as far as mini-notebooks go. Based on the pricing set for Germany and the U.K., you can look for the Samsung NC310 to be somewhere in the $600-$650 range upon it’s release in the states.
