Honda and Alten Battery Chargers Inc. Team Up
North America will soon have on market the first full line of portable DC battery chargers from Honda Motors, thanks in large part to Honda’s appointment of Alten Battery Chargers Inc. as its OEM partner on this proposal.
Unlike an AC generator paired with a slow plug-in charger, ALTEN Battery Chargers are a fast and highly efficient way of charging 12, 24 and 48-volt battery configurations. They can deliver up to 120 Amps per hour of run time consuming 0.4 gallons of fuel to achieve a 90% bulk charge on a 500 Amp/ Hour bank of batteries in 2 hours.

* Marine boatyards
* Solar power communications repeaters
* Emergency and remote communication equipment
It will be the quickest way to bulk charge batteries on the market today. The portable battery chargers, powered by Honda’s environmentally responsible, advanced four-stroke engines offer a faster, more efficient charge, saving the consumer up to 4 hours (67%) of time. The new battery chargers will also provide up to 67% savings on fuel consumption when compared to other standard battery charging methods that are out today, which in turn lowers the emissions and also increases dependability.
