Odyssey Batteries offer phenomenal starting power and massive deep cycle reserve power in one battery. How is this possible? The answer is in Odyssey’s revolutionary design. Starting with flat plates made of 99.99% pure virgin lead, not a lead alloy. Unlike the competitors’ batteries, pure lead plates can be made thinner, so more can fit in the battery. More plates mean more surface area, which equals more power; twice as much as conventional batteries.

In tests, Odyssey batteries have shown they are capable of providing engine cranking pulses in excess of 2250 amps for 5 seconds. This is 2x to 3x that of equally sized conventional car batteries. Odyssey Batteries are truly an extreme battery, as they can handle 400 charge-discharge cycles to 80% depth of discharge.

Built To Last 3x Longer

With a rugged construction and AGM design, Odyssey batteries have an 8-12 year design life and a 3-10 year service life. Its welded intercell connections enable it to withstand extreme vibration, and AGM design prevents spills when battery is positioned on its side. In normal storage conditions, Odyssey batteries can be stored up to 2 years and still be returned to full power, unlike conventional batteries.

Brass terminals coated with a high-quality tin alloy ensure secure, corrosion-free cable connections. Constructed from 99.99% pure virgin lead. Thin plates, so more of them can fit into a battery.
